Grampian Police Upgrades CCTV Control Room with Hybrid System

Scottish Communications Group has upgraded the CCTV control room for Grampian Police, providing a modern, reliable solution to replace their outdated analog SVHS system.

The force required an evidential-quality system capable of integrating with existing analog cameras as well as newer IP CCTV units, while improving efficiency and reliability.

SCG conducted a full site survey and demonstration before installing a hybrid system that delivers high-quality, searchable footage, full redundancy to ensure uninterrupted recording, and flexibility to adapt to future technology upgrades.

The new COLDSTORE recording solution uses just 10% of the electricity of traditional systems, reducing operational costs and space requirements. The system is now far more reliable, easier to manage, and requires minimal maintenance.
