Protecting a Grand National Contender!

With the Grand National only a day away, we’re finally able to let the cat out of the bag about one of our recent projects!

We were engaged by Lucinda Russell Horse Trainer for a CCTV solution to ensure her rather special eight year old horse One for Arthur is kept in tip top condition for tomorrow’s Grand National. The odds on One for Arthur have narrowed over the last weeks from odds of 33-1 to the current odds of 14-1!

Oli Russell, Sales and Marketing Executive tells us about why they chose SCG:

‘We wanted to protect One for Arthur and protect ourselves in case something happens to the horse. He could hurt himself or could be hurt by somebody or doped.’

Oli also described other uses for the CCTV in the yard:

’It’s a first for this yard and after the Grand National we’re going to use the CCTV for any horses that need 24 hour surveillance like sick horses. Then we know how it’s been doing through the night.’

The result has been very positive:

‘We’ve got complete reassurance that nothing has happened to the horse. Especially at night time, it’s a really clear image when it’s dark and he’s at his most vulnerable on his own. The horse owners are very impressed as are we.’

And finally, Oli says that the team has been very impressed by the team here at SCG:

“Every single person we dealt with was extremely helpful and everything they did was really efficient’

Good luck to One for Arthur in tomorrow’s race!
