Scottish Communications Group Supports SecuriGroup on Forth Crossing Project

Scottish Communications Group partnered with SecuriGroup to deliver a bespoke security solution during the construction of the new Forth Replacement Crossing.

SecuriGroup, one of the UK’s fastest-growing security providers, appointed Scottish Communications Group as their technical partner due to the company’s expertise in designing and deploying systems for challenging environments. The project required a blended security model, combining manned guarding with advanced CCTV and access control technology.

One of the main challenges was the site’s scale, with multiple dispersed locations needing to be monitored simultaneously. SCG designed and installed a comprehensive wireless network to ensure real-time coverage and rapid incident response. Another key requirement was ensuring worker safety around water. To meet this need, SCG developed a bespoke video analytics system capable of tracking personnel in line with complex shift patterns.

The flexible solution not only met the client’s original requirements but has continued to adapt to the evolving needs of the large-scale construction project, with equipment relocated and reused to maximise value.
