Scottish Events Campus Upgrades to Advanced CCTV and Image Recognition System

Scottish Communications Group has completed a campus-wide upgrade of the Scottish Events Campus (SEC), including the SSE Hydro, installing high-definition IP CCTV and advanced image recognition technology.

The system upgrades over 140 cameras across the campus, with new front-end recording and storage devices networked between two control rooms for instant site-wide visibility. The technology enables faster identification of potential threats, enhancing both security and health and safety for staff and visitors.

The image recognition and analytics tools also support operational and event management, allowing staff to track individuals across the campus and respond immediately to security incidents, improving the overall experience for patrons.
