Strathallan School Upgrades Security with New IP CCTV System

Scottish Communications Group has completed a major CCTV upgrade for Strathallan School, one of Scotland’s leading independent day and boarding schools.

The school’s previous system relied on seven separate recording units across multiple buildings, creating inefficiencies and limiting oversight. Strathallan tasked Scottish Communications Group with designing a modern, flexible IP CCTV system that could be monitored from a single location and expanded easily in the future.

Following a detailed site survey and technology demonstration, SCG implemented a centralised system that integrates both new high-performance cameras and existing units where possible—helping the school reduce unnecessary costs. The upgraded solution delivers significantly improved image quality and allows all monitoring and recording to be managed from one hub.

The school is now planning to expand the system further, confident in the flexibility and scalability of the new infrastructure.
