University of Dundee Enhances Campus Safety with Bespoke Emergency Call Points

Scottish Communications Group has been awarded a three-year contract to maintain and upgrade CCTV and access control systems across the University of Dundee campus, building on a 15-year partnership.

As part of the project, SCG designed bespoke emergency call point pedestals, incorporating Aiphone IX IP intercoms and Indigo Vision HD cameras. These units allow students and staff to instantly communicate with the university’s 24-hour manned control room while being monitored on live CCTV.

The system improves campus safety by enabling security personnel to respond immediately to any suspicious activity or requests for assistance. Integration with the university’s digital radio network further enhances response times by locating and dispatching the nearest security staff efficiently.
