University of Dundee Upgrades Campus Security with Centralised IP CCTV System

Scottish Communications Group has delivered a campus-wide CCTV upgrade for the University of Dundee, one of Scotland’s leading universities.

The university’s previous setup involved multiple, disparate systems across the campus with several recording locations, making management inefficient. They approached SCG to consolidate all monitoring into a single, centralised system while maximising the use of existing equipment.

Following a detailed site survey and technology demonstration, SCG implemented a phased IP CCTV upgrade. Existing cameras were integrated into the new system, and the installation leveraged the university’s existing IT network to maintain high performance without disrupting infrastructure.

The new setup provides superior image quality and centralised monitoring, and its flexible design allows for easy expansion across the campus in the future.
