Our History

Scottish Communications Group (SCG) were established back in 1979 by current Chairman Paul Gibson and rapidly grew to become one of the UK’s leading independent communication equipment specialists, with a strong reputation for delivering the highest standards of customer service and equipment.

The Company then expanded and diversified into the security market in 1994, and became specialists in developing and offering the latest in CCTV and Security Access technology to provide integrated solutions for the commercial sector.

SCG’s head office is centrally located in Perth, with a further fully serviced office facility in Glasgow, meaning we are within easy reach of 90% of Scotland’s population. SCG engineers now service and support and extensive list of blue-chip companies, which stretches from London and Birmingham, right up to Shetland.

SCG’s proven track record of exceptional customer service has led to them being awarded the coveted Royal Warrant for the supply of communications equipment to her Majesty the Queen, as well as achieving the top security industry standard, NSI Gold, in addition to holding many other industry accreditations.

SCG has developed relationships over the years with many of the industry’s leading manufacturers, offering their customers a truly bespoke service to accommodate a huge variety of different requirements and parameters. In addition to a design, survey and installation service, SCG is also committed to the ongoing maintenance of its systems, offering a variety of service contracts to suit all needs and budgets, to ensure ongoing compliance and performance.
